What does tokunbo mean?
Tokunbo is the common Nigerian word for foreign used: a vehicle imported after use abroad, as opposed to a Nigerian-used car that has already been registered and driven here.
Can I inspect the car and bring my own mechanic?
Yes. Every car we list goes through our 150-point inspection and we share the report on request. You can book an inspection at our Lekki premises and bring your own mechanic at an agreed time.
Can I test drive before buying?
Yes. Book a test drive from the car's page or on WhatsApp. You need to be 18 or over with a valid driver's licence, and a member of our staff rides along on an agreed route.
Can I reserve a car while I arrange payment?
Yes. Pay the refundable reservation deposit shown on the listing and we hold the car for 72 hours. If you buy it, the deposit comes off the price; if you cancel within the hold, it's refunded in full.
How do I pay for a car?
Car purchases are completed on a signed sale agreement after you've inspected and test-driven the car. Payment is by bank transfer into our company account only. Confirm the account with us on the phone before paying.
